If you are using SendGrid for your email campaigns, you can connect your SendGrid account to Klenty to send emails.

To do this, you will have to:

  • "Create a Sender" in your SendGrid Account first and verify your email address.
  • Generate an API key in your SendGrid account.
  • Paste this API key in Klenty to configure your email account.

To create a Sender:

  1. Head to your SendGrid account.
  2. Navigate to Marketing > Senders > Create New Sender.
  3. Fill in all your credentials. In the "From email address" field, provide the email address you'd like to connect to Klenty.
  4. Click on Save.

You'll now receive a verification email to the email address you've just provided. Click on "Verify Sender Identity" in the email for verification.

Once verified, you'll see a tick symbol near your name in the SendGrid account.

The next step is to create an API key to connect your own email account to Klenty via SendGrid.

To generate an API key:

  1. In your SendGrid account, navigate to Email API > Integration Guide > SMTP Relay.
  2. Under "Create an API key" - give a name of your choice and click on "Create Key".

You'll then see a success message along with the API key. Copy the API key (highlighted in red color in the picture below).

Domain Authentication in SendGrid

When you use SendGrid to send emails, some email providers append "via sendgrid.net" to your from email address.

Authenticating your domain tells email providers that SendGrid is authorized to send emails on your behalf.

For example, without domain authentication, here's how an email sent via SendGrid will look like.

Domain authentication removes the text "via sendgrid.net" that is appended to your emails - helping you look more reliable to email providers.

This improves your email deliverability as it shows that your emails are actually coming from you.

It's recommended to authenticate your domain when using SendGrid to send your emails. Here's a detailed article in SendGrid to help you with that.
